Robos Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 At the ending of this Tacview file there is show of abilities R77, which tryied to hit me. I was hitted by one few seconds earlier, and was falling down in a spin. The second misissle was drawing nice circles near me. So, maybe a spin is good manoeuvre to avoid R77 :pilotfly: http://www.mediafire.com/?i5znby2fww3 1
Sanch0 Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 No doubt the AMRAAMski is very stubborn missile :D:doh: PVAF "A fighter without a gun... is like an airplane without a wing" dedicated to F-4 Phantom
GGTharos Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Ahh, the beauty of network oddities... :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
EtherealN Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 That's almost as stubborn a missile as that Strela in that horrible F/A-18 Superbug movie. The one where they get shot down by a missile over Serbia. :D Now personally, I think that missile was just taking a victory lap around you. :P [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
Robos Posted February 25, 2010 Author Posted February 25, 2010 Yeah, great trick. I have to learn it with AIM-120 :smilewink:
Grimes Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Is that the one where Owen Wilson spent 70% of the movie running? Its a new Olympic sport, Tacview Dancing! I've seen some weird stuff with missiles, but I think that one takes the cake. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Case Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Maybe we should start the Guinness Book of Records for Lock On Oddities! There are only 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
borchi_2b Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 ohh that sounds good :-) http://www.polychop-sims.com
RvEYoda Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 In Open Falcon you can make aim54s do this regularly :), you end up dogfighting vs a phoenix! S = SPARSE(m,n) abbreviates SPARSE([],[],[],m,n,0). This generates the ultimate sparse matrix, an m-by-n all zero matrix. - Matlab help on 'sparse'
golfsierra2 Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Now personally, I think that missile was just taking a victory lap around you. :P In the meinit.xml, for the R-77 set HumanCockpit="yes" and fly it.... :smartass: <Launcher CLSID="{B4C01D60-A8A3-4237-BD72-CA7655BC0FE9}" Name="R-77" NatoName="(AA-12)" Picture="" Weight="175" HumanCockpit="yes" WorldID="4"> <Element ShapeName="R-77"> <Position X="0" Y="0" Z="0"/> <DrawArg Key="1" Value="1"/> <DrawArg Key="2" Value="1"/> </Element> </Launcher> kind regards, Raven....
