It is quite a lump, but it doesn't handle that badly once you learn its limitations. At first keep an eye on the AoA meter, it's really easy to overdo it. With practice you'll learn to be really gentle on the stick. Use first stage flaps when manoeuvring a lot, makes it much more nimble.

Your BS trim problem sounds like classic FFB wheel also plugged in syndrome, make sure FFB is disabled in producer.cfg (I along with most use Viper's cougar profile - if slightly modified - and it works fine).

Got my Cougar profile sorted. Got the hang of the SHKVAL, (its more twitchy in FC than BS, (BS seems easier to lock). The plane shudders when you are too slow / fast / turning too quickly, so easy to see what i am doing wrong, but, hey, the airframe its not getting repaired out of my pocket so 'shudder all you like fat boy'! [in a southern drawl]

Ricardo's HD pits are very nice as well.
