unclemiller Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 (edited) found the info - Thanks! Edited March 9, 2010 by unclemiller
GGTharos Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 (edited) There are 8 activations and 10 deactivations per key (so you can activate once and deactivate10 times, and you still have 7 activations left). These are not the same as limited installs. As long as you install/uninstall on the same system (ie. not reinstalled OS, etc) you will only use one activation. You don't need to re-activate, the activation remains in the registry. In case you need to reinstall the OS for some reason, you can save your activation using the supplied tool and re-load it on the re-installed system, though this isn't guaranteed to work. Major hardware alterations may require an activation. If you run out of activations, you can request another key from ED and they will usually supply one to you upon consideration - yes, for free. This version of SF does not monitor or interfere with any drives. It is an online activation scheme and it does not install any drivers. Akwar Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Do to unforseen circumstances my OS crashed a Few times.Had to reinstall everything and did not get a chance to activate. Also had 2 hard drives die in the last few years so I dont have many left. What does DCS intend to do for customers if their activations run out?I don't see a customer forking over another $39.99 again for something they already paid for.
