Hi all, I got this game a few days ago and I'm still trying to figure it out. Fortunately for me that's half the fun! I've already gotten two friends to buy it and we're going to hook up soon for some multi player fun.

Fortunately for me, one of my friends is an aeronautical engineer so when we have questions about what to do and why he knows the answer off the top of his head. A real great resource for learning to fly in this game.

One thing I would like to see but I doubt it would be added, is the concept of a next/back button combination for three position or greater switches, as well as the non-potentiometer dials. This is causing me come concern with my project as I'm making a small pcb with a PIC so I can make the PC think it's a keyboard, and then I hook switches and buttons into it to issue keyboard commands.

In short it's a piece of hardware I can use to make a cockpit at home. But no matter what it seems I always have to follow the sequence of movements in the game that all the controls make, it's kinda frustrating.

Anyhow, great game! I look forward to the A-10 product as well.

And you have to buy once again Lock on.... because in a moment there will be Lo's suessor called.... Lo:2 :D

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

If you mean in DCS:BlackShark the multi-position switches and dials do go both ways, forward and back, you don't have to keep going forward, forward, forward until it wraps around.

Left-click and right-click of the mouse in the cockpit on those controls will usually take you counter-clockwise or clockwise through the cycle as appropriate. Are you just feeling that the keys themselves aren't available to emulate this as well, or just didn't know you could do that?

Yes, it's the keys I am most interested in unless there is a way to do that? Or even with a joystick button perhaps? I don't like using the mouse to hunt out every single switch and then press it.

Technically speaking, you could even implement some LUA to switch immediately to your desired position.

Unfortunately, aside from the left/right mouse button stuff you might end up having to memorize and set specific combos for each type of key - most of this is already implemented but with the amount of buttons and switches it amounts to more than 500 keyboard combinations.

That said, I think you might be able to map stick buttons to the same function as the mouse buttons, and use TrackIR, Cachya or FreeTrack to point the selector with your head instead of your mouse.
