Every time I go into options and choose this device it reverts back to keyboard and the joystick buttons do not work. It refuses to save my controller choice.

Still unable to get joystick buttons to work in LOMAC. I am using Windows 7. The Saitek control panel lets me calibrate the joystick and everything works fine, but when I start LOMAC the joystick buttons do not work.

Several things could be the issue.

Did you properly install the SST software when you installed your stick? ALL of it? Even the "magic mouse & keyboard" drivers?

If you did- have you programmed buttons from within the SST software?

Did you prepare the stick for button programming as shown in my setup instructions? (clear the defaults that lomac assigns)

Have you been to saitek's site to determine if the SST version you have will even work on W7 in the first place?

If there is SST software on the site for w7- you might want to unplug the sticks, uninstall everything you have, and install what they have on the site. From what I can see- the SST software is the same for Vista & W7.

I think you will need to download both drivers & software. http://www.saitek.com/uk/down/drivers.php Read the site carefully, but it's probably something like this-

Install the driver package. Possibly reboot- then plug in stick. If it prompts you to plug in the stick during the process- do it. Otherwise- reboot, plug in stick, and reboot again.

Install SST software package.

Follow the setup instructions on my site. The initial configuration is universal, but it's unlikely the abbreviated SST tutorial after "STOP HERE" will be applicable to the software you downloaded.

You shouldn't have any calibration button if you use the new Saitek drivers. It's autocalibration.
