czarnyolek Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 With FC1 it was easy, just copy whole LO folder to another location and start it first time with lockon.dll file and that was it. Cant figure out how to do it with FC2 and its very bad for modding as i don't want to screw my main ionstallation copy. I know backing up is a way, but i think about using various mods, taht exclude use of other ones without need to install it every time i want to play. For example gripen mod use MIG-29G slot as is F-16 mod. I want to use both so i need at least two FC2 working copies. Anyone?
159th_Falcon Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Challenging. But being the simple mind i am. Doesn't just copy / paste the whole installation folder a few times into other directors do the trick???? As i said, im just a simple mind.:) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] The keeper of all mathematical knowledge and the oracle of flight modeling.:)
jalebru Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Copy/paste of install dirrectory and a copied shortcut with the new dirrectory path work fine for me. Think the key is you have to run the launcher.exe prog with a switch. Shortcut should look like this in the target box. "G:\Games\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2 - VNAO\bin\x86\stable\Launcher.exe" --console [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
czarnyolek Posted March 29, 2010 Author Posted March 29, 2010 What do you mean by running it by a switch? Is "switch" a "shortcut"? If so its not working for me eighter.
59th_Stholo Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 It's simple. You have to make the correct shortcut for it. The start in is not \bin\x86\stable\ it is the main directory of FC2.0 thats all
czarnyolek Posted March 29, 2010 Author Posted March 29, 2010 I must be blind or stupid. I do not have .exe file in main dirctory i do have two .dll files - one is multiplayer and it starts a... multiplayer game, other one is inputsetup.dll and it does nothing.
