Setting up controls on ALL aircraft.

Hi

 

Maybe I am being really dumb here...but....

 

How can I set up the controls for all aircraft at the same time. Basically, I want all the axis and axis fine tunning the same, all keyboard commands the same ( I change keyboard commands to the same as I have in BS or else my brain will be fried) and also I have assigned all controls to my pro throttle and flight stick.

 

To do 1 aircraft takes me about 1 hour to get it fine tunned and tested. To do them all will take me ages. I have 22 buttons mapped to throttle and 8 to joystick. I know some aircraft have some variations so I believe its not possible to copy the control file (this way is new to me).

 

Surely it would have been easier to have an option to map axis and controls to all aircraft THEN to select the individual aircraft and change the settings that are unique to that aircraft only...oder??

I did spent couple of hours doing it 'one-by-one' on saturday ... didn't find better/safe way (basicly assigning common functions to the X52 ... )

Good thing is - you go through it only once ... store the profile then ... and keep it safe ... ;-)))

 

(Can imagine one saves the default profile to external file ... and then plays with it using notepad++ ... doing search - replace all ... ;-) ... however, it will do only part of the job ... planes have some cmmon and some specific controls ... so better go for it one by one ... only once ... come oooon ... ;-) )
