159th_Falcon Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Ok, now there's probably already a thread out there stating most (and more) of this but please use these guidelines when reporting bugs. Makes it A LOT easier for ED to search the forum for bugs and to track the applicable threads. 1, ALWAYS start your "title" or "subject" whit an [bUG] tag. this will make it easier to filter them out from all other topics. 2, DO NOT post several different bugs in the same thread, this makes it VERY HARD for ED to read trough and sort out each individual bug. 3, SEARCH for an bug your about to submit, if there is already a threat about the very same bug, give any additional information on it to confirm the bug. 4, "TITLE"/"SUBJECT" yes again, make a brief description of the bug, for example " [bUG] FC2.0 MP SU25T Rearming" FC2.0, indicates the applicable game MP, stands for Multi Player SU25T, is the applicable aircraft Rearming, is the situation or action where the bug occurs. another example could be; " [bUG] FC2.0 SP SU33 Launch Authorization" (could use LA for short) " [bUG] FC2.0 MP F15C aim120c range" both descriptions give you an basic idea of what the bug is all about making it easier for everyone to try and help, confirm bugs or just provide additional information. 5, Try to obtain one or more screenshots of the bug like i did in this thread 6, Try to provide accurate and clear description of the bug paying attention to; A what the bug is about B when it occurs C if you can reproduce it, if yes how D any additional information that might be needed think of, for example, the conditions you are flying in; altitude attitude speed weather type time of day 7, TAKE YOUR TIME TO REPORT A BUG if you can report a bug in under 5 minutes changes are you did not make a clear and informative enough post to be of any use. really TAKE YOUR TIME. 8, Try to consider if something really is a bug, or maybe just an issue for you specific. (profiler issues of your hotas for example are 9 out of 10 times NOT bugs but bad programming or simply forgetting things.) Ok, just my 2 cents Hope it helps to bring some method to the madness that is going on. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] The keeper of all mathematical knowledge and the oracle of flight modeling.:)
