ScEBlack1 Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 What is the best way to know when to drop the external fuel tanks in the Eagle when you have 3 of them? the fuel gauge shows the "left" and "right" and then "total" amount of fuel. If I take 3 external tanks online I want to know when to drop them when they have run out so I do not have drag? should I simply drop them when the 2 external tank fuel gauges read empty?
Mugenjin Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Once the gauge for left and right are dropping/counting from some 6100lb down, which means that the drop tanks are empty. That happens at around 12000lb (left+right). With 100% and 3 tanks the gauge reads iirc about 23000lb. But that doesn't actually matter, i.e. when you have only 1 drop tank/2 tanks, since you always know that they're empty, once you hit 12000lb (6100lb left and right each). 1
Exorcet Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 I think the Eagle's fuel load is 13347 internal, or something around there. You can look it up in the mission editor. Once you reach that, drop the tanks. Just supplimenting the above.
