stratus Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Recently getting back to LOMAC and was eagerly awaiting my DCS BS to arrive until..... I purchased the download version of FC 2. I proceed to the download page. Select download and then get a "set up needs the disk" message.Well I don't have the disk. I have a serial number but can't even get that far? My emails to the listed ED support address have been returned as "undeliverable". I currently have FC 1 installed and operating fine on my Windows 7 64b system. No firewalls or antivirus running either. I searched and did not find a similair post on your fine forum, so please excuse me if I missed it. Thanks!
Distiler Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Have you downloaded three files and put them in the same folder then executed setup.exe? Best way is to download via torrent. AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
stratus Posted April 11, 2010 Author Posted April 11, 2010 Thanks for the reply, but I can't download any of the files so I can't put them in a folder. The Torrent link is a dead end-links to an external Windows page saying the file cannot be found.
Distiler Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Everything works fine here, both torrent or separated files. Might be something wrong on your network. Look, this is the download page for english version: http://lockon.co.uk/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=6&end_pos=135 You don't even need to be logged to download. AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
Panzertard Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 My guess is that you are trying to run the files instead of "save as" - that way you start the exe right after download, and you still miss 2 files. Rightclick and use "save as", save to the same location. The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning
stratus Posted April 11, 2010 Author Posted April 11, 2010 Your guess is correct , silly me for thinking that they would just have one file to "run" ?
