Vault Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 (edited) I've just purchased FC2 and I have a few questions to ask. Should I install FC2 on a seperate drive from my operating system or in programs folder on operating system drive? and do I need to install FC2 over the original Lockon 1.0 or FC 1.1?. Thanks in advance. Edit* Ignore that, instructions are on e-shop page. Edited April 12, 2010 by Vault [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Distiler Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 -Best is in a separate partition or hard drive. Don't install in /program files if you're in Vista or W7. -If you install over lockon it should create a subfolder for FC2, but I think it's best to install it in another folder. Mind that lockon needs to be installed just for proof of purchuase, not because FC2 needs base files, so after install FC2 you can choose to delete lockon (you won't be able if you install FC2 in a subfolder of lockon folder). Don't think about FC2 as a patch for LO, think you are installing another simulator. -Over plan lockon, no need even to be patched. 1 AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
