zzzuke Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Hello All, Purchased this game off Amazon some time ago and installed the program and activated it with no issues. Just never took the time to play the game as the load times where so long with my computer. Recently, swapped motherboards/CPU/added Ram and went to play this game, but was not allowed as the the copy protection stated that the computer had changed. Tried to un-activate/reactivate but keep getting same error. Sent error report to support and activation email addresses, but have not heard back. Please help - how can I get this program running again Thanks, Mike
Distiler Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 You can't de-activate once the motherboard/cpu/ram has already changed. De-activation is done before. Anyway, you just have to activate. If you have problems, try to uninstall it, re-install it and activate like if it's the first time you do. AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
zzzuke Posted April 14, 2010 Author Posted April 14, 2010 Thanks - did the uninstall dance and this worked
kobac Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 (edited) Do I need to deactivate BS and LockOn2 for HDD replacement (damage) and memory? According to the list of points should not be, because it is a total of 9 points (6 for memory and + 3 for HDD). "An activation will be required if the hardware/software changes exceed 12 points as rated below: CPU ID: 13 Windows PID: 3 Computer Name: 3 Hard drive volume serial number: 3 MAC address: 6 RAM amount: 6" Because of hard drive failure I haven't had time to deactivate any game. Is it the same installation procedure or something to pay special attention? Edited April 28, 2010 by kobac [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]Everything is possible ...
kobac Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 (edited) Hmm, it's strange no response?! Is it possible to deactivate the game in some other way before re-installation, and whether it is at all necessary? Edited April 29, 2010 by kobac [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]Everything is possible ...
Panzertard Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Word of advice, just deactivate - that way you will be sure. I think I've seen HD replacements being treated as Windows changes as well - so the sum total went beyond 12. The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning
kobac Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 You are right. I didn't success to deactivate a BS or LO-FC2 because I didn't doubted the HDD failure. So I still had to spend on a new activation, because on new HDD was nothing there and so the license. And I didn't managed to get back to the old HDD backup.
