shu77 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 At the risk of getting a flame for posting on Lockonfiles and this forum has anyone seen this issue before? I'm using an ATI 5870 1GB, with windows 7 32 bit and the 1.01C patch. Seems like a texture is missing? I tried disabling the Catalyst AI which I read can cause problems elsehwere. I alos tried uninstalling and reinstalling all the patches and adding the sharkpit mod. Any help appreciated as its wrecking the experience some what Hornet, Super Carrier, Warthog & (II), Mustang, Spitfire, Albatross, Sabre, Combined Arms, FC3, Nevada, Gulf, Normandy, Syria AH-6J i9 10900K @ 5.0GHz, Gigabyte Z490 Vision G, Cooler Master ML120L, Gigabyte RTX3080 OC Gaming 10Gb, 64GB RAM, Reverb G2 @ 2480x2428, TM Warthog, Saitek pedals & throttle, DIY collective, TrackIR4, Cougar MFDs, vx3276-2k Combat Wombat's Airfield & Enroute Maps and Planning Tools
Panzertard Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 It's most likely that a mod broke some of your original files. Adding the patches may not help - only a full reinstall will help. - You can rename your old "Ka-50" folder to something else - and the install a new fresh copy. - add the correct patch for your language of BS. - Test without any mods at all. I think you will find that it is working correctly again after this procedure. The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning
shu77 Posted April 26, 2010 Author Posted April 26, 2010 (edited) Not that it seems. I'm afraid I'm having the same issue with a fresh install. Playing around with the Video card it looks like it was an AA or AF issue, resetting those to let the application choose seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks for your help though Edited April 26, 2010 by shu77 Hornet, Super Carrier, Warthog & (II), Mustang, Spitfire, Albatross, Sabre, Combined Arms, FC3, Nevada, Gulf, Normandy, Syria AH-6J i9 10900K @ 5.0GHz, Gigabyte Z490 Vision G, Cooler Master ML120L, Gigabyte RTX3080 OC Gaming 10Gb, 64GB RAM, Reverb G2 @ 2480x2428, TM Warthog, Saitek pedals & throttle, DIY collective, TrackIR4, Cougar MFDs, vx3276-2k Combat Wombat's Airfield & Enroute Maps and Planning Tools
Garfieldo Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Sometimes ModMan cannot manage the extra folder that the W7 user account control creates when you install DCS in "Program Files". It installs mods there, but sometimes cannot uninstall them properly. I recommend installing Black Shark in a self-made folder, like C:\Games\etc... It is under C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86). But be careful, thats where your configs and logbooks are stored so make a backup of those.
