zakobi Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 AFAIK alot have stated that it is annoying not being able to choose own payload, so i was wondering if we could make a sticky where people could state 1-3 payload options they fly/like to fly on MP servers. Of course we should also make a system for mp mission designers, so it's easier to make desired or close payloads I'm imagine something like: Su-25T: 1. ECM pod, R-73, RBK-250, RBK-250, Vikhrs, gunpod, LLTV, Gunpod, Vikhrs, RBK-250, RBK-250, R-73, ecm pod. 2. R-60, FAB-100... F-15C: AIM-9, AIM-120, fuel tank... Etc. What ya think :smilewink:
Wolverine Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Fighters are somewhat easy to plan loadouts for, it is just combinations of the limited amount of ordinance that they can carry. Strike aircraft are somewhat different in the increased types of weapons that they can carry but a help to the choice of combinations can be achieved by noting the default loadouts for specific tasks in the mission editor, e.g Ground attack, SEAD, Pinpoint strike etc. Below are the few that I have tinkered with so far. They seem to cover all eventualities. When I have finish I will place the appropriate files up for D/L for anyone that wants them. BUT.... If I do, please do not use them on MP servers unless the specific squadron have given the green light to do so. I shouldn't see a problem though as it is'nt anything out of the ordinary like R-77 armed Su-27s or Ru jets with more than 2 ET's etc. Any/all feedback via here or PM is welcome. 104th_Crunch Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Interesting Wolverine. Yes, please share your files. It will be nice to see exactly what and how you edit to get these.
Wolverine Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 (edited) I followed this guide here; http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=890651&postcount=37 Through some trail and error was able to get my head around it. I just have to complete the Su-33, A-10 and Su-25 to finish. I have the 25's loadouts sorted out on paper and the Su-33 will be somewhat similar to the 27, so should be complete tomorrow. My head is melted atm, 3 hours to find a missing , fault in the rearm file. :joystick::lol: I need a flight. Moa Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Keep 'em coming. As I've stated I'm working hard on mission generation/dynamic campaign software for LockOn2. Knowing the loadouts people prefer is useful, since these loadouts become bound to the mission. It doesn't matter so much for single-player generated missions since the player can select their desired load-out just before the mission is written to disk. For multi-player missions I want to create a mission 'merge' function so this can also be done. Unfortunately you can't really do this for multi-player missions that are run routinely on servers since the mission is already loaded when you join. Hence, knowing people's prefered loadouts is a useful thing to know.
