bigdog4215 Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 i m trying to use the dual monitor feature on xp.i plugged in both monitors,the big white one and the smaller blue one.when i turn on the computer it says plug the monitor cable into the add-in graphics card connector.it also says this may require a video adapter or video adapter cable.can somebody show me what this is and tell me where i can buy it. thnks
26-J39 Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 Have you set Windows to use 2 monitors? It won't set it up auto. Settings are usually found in your vid card control panel. I use nvidia so for me it's in nvidia control panel -> set up multiple monitors.

I use nvidia so for me it's in nvidia control panel -> set up multiple monitors. i just tried this and the device manager reconised it but it still wouldn t come on.i went to the troubleshoot thing and it said to try to use the secondary monitor as the primary and i was thinking,will this work even though the monitors have different types of plugs[the big white one and the little blue]so i tried it the monitor came on and i got the same message from post above.i gonna try looking into that video adapter or cable,if you got anymore suggestions i m all ears
