"not in the way intel has"

Intel i3, i5 and i7 do not have an FSB on their motherboard chipsets. They all have on-die memory controllers.

I have been observing DCS RAM usage trough task manager and it regulary gets up to 4GB, and a few times i have been hosting a mission online i have

seen it using over 6GB of RAM.

(note, this is NOT total RAM used by entire system but RAM used by DCS.exe

total system RAM usage at that time was 7.3 - 7.5 GB or so)

Part of me is really confused by your statement that the DCS.exe is using 4Gb of ram. Is DSC running native in a 64bit environment? or does it have a *32 by it in the task screen?

If it is just a 32 bit program running in a 64bit environment, it wouldn't be able to exceed 2GB. If anyone can clear this up for me I would be grateful. I know alot of games that ran into this issue a few years ago. You turned up the graphic so high and loaded so many textures that the game would crash from running head first into the 32bit wall.

Google LARGE_ADRESS_AWARE. ;)

Basically, depending on exact setup it can extend your process adressable memory from 2 to either 3 or 4 GB.
