Does Hyperlobby 4.2.x work with FC2.0

I can't be doing with the hobbled game browser anymore and wanted something a bit more "up to date", so installed Hyperlobby, but it asks for the location of "lockon.exe", the old .exe (pre-FC2.0)

 

Am I right in assuming that it doesn't work now and we must use the spartan multiplayer GUI / browser where I can’t even sort servers by player numbers, filter out locked servers, etc. It’s a little bit..... :music_whistling:

 

The last few nights I have been itching for an online game and only found a few servers with more than 8-10 people on them

jiri has not added the new Lockon FC 2.0.. not even sure he plans on it..

yes, i miss the hyperlobby feeling, too. the chatmenu, the player lists, a. s. o., but to be honest, i m afraid, that this implemented mulitplayer gui, doesn t allow any access by tools from the outside like our old hyperlobby.

 

is anyone in contact with jiri?

Thats a real shame as the browser is hopeless really.

 

the quake 1 browser was better. in 1996 :doh:

 

 

 

hyperlobby 4.2.0 was released on the 20th may 2010 but no FC2.0 support

Its a bit of a shame that such a great games aguably best feature is marred by an unfriendly interface.
