I have actually gotten to the point where I can fly and engage the enemy, still always die, but doing much better and having a blast. Started messing around with the mission editor, I'm addicted now, and have a few questions some of you nice people might be able to help me with: Is there anyway to build a trigger event based on "enemy spotted"? Closest I have found is "Unit Damaged", "Group Dead" but that is a tad later than I want to invoke other actions. Current I am using a TriggerZone with "Units inside" so when the enemy tanks reach a certain point it invokes my other actions, but be nice to say "Enemy spotted" and then when I move those units around I don't have to mess around with a separate TriggerZone also. Plus it's just a guess on my part as to when the enemy is really spotted. I first started messing with the Mission Editor prior to Patch 1.0.2. After the patch I noticed that my options in "Create AVI" are different as in, missing a bunch of codecs, sample size options, etc. Right now I have 2 options for encoding and thats about it. Is this due to patch changes or maybe I need a clean install? Thoughts? If I want/need to do a clean install, do I need to also do a deactivate/reactivate on the licensing also? ~Thump. nemises Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Hi Thumper, for 1) There is actually mobile trigger zones that you can attach to a unit ... this will help simulate a "unit spotted" trigger effect (if coalition in mobile_trigger_zone x) for eg 2) unsure sorry, not used that feature 3) for a clean install on the same system, you do not need to deactivate or re-activate, it will remain activated (though may prompt you on first run, and you should get a "this serial number is allready activated on this system, do you want to continue" PS, welcome , and look forward to seeing some missions from you! :)

Also, great on the uninstall/install.. might try that to fix the AVI issue you weren't sure about... maybe that will fix it. If not love to hear from others that might have ideas on my AVI issue.... Here is my scenario: I used a triggerzone to activate my helos taking off from an airbase. Doing it this way my helos just "pop" onto the screen. Is there anyway to have the helos hot and ready on the runway and then start their waypoint run when the trigger is fired? Thanks again for the help. Edited June 22, 2010 by TheThumper ~Thump.
