I wouldn't label this as a bug as such, rather more of a convenience issue really, but this seems to be the best place for it all the same.

Right, the menu system. I feel it's REALLY quite slow to transit between the different submenus. It's better on this rig (and game) than Flanker 2 on a P2 450 MHz, I'll grant you that, but I can't see the least reason why this couldn't be a near instantaneous transition (like Freelancer, Falcon 4, Grim Fandango, Wing Commander: Prophecy, Freespace 1/2 . . .). Couple that with the extensive loading-times, it's... something of a turn-off. Certainly kept me away from Flanker 2.

Well, with Flaming Cliffs, the worst part is actually the loading-time and getting into a campaign, while the slow menu-switching is a mere inconvenience.

On the subject of menus/dialogue buttons ...

Some allow key board 'short cuts' ... such as c for cancel, but it isnt consitent. When you crash or eject, press Esc, you get a dialogue ... you can press c for cancel BUT not the key for re-fly (I've forgotten what the exact button is) ... it would be good if this could be implemented in a consistant way. Thanks, James

To have the recovery working, Permit Crash Recovery needs to be enabled in the options menu.

The missions where crash recovery isn't enabled might be classified.

You misunderstand ... these are my own missions/not cloassified, the button is enabled but it would be nice to hit 'R' for refly rather than have to use the mouse ... you CAN hit 'c' for cancel.
