Unable to start single player

loading screen starts and then it says:

 

..blackshark\modules\me_logbook.lua:147:attempt to index field 'player'(a nil value)

 

FC2.0, pacthed, not moded, MP works fine.

 

is it botched and should I prepare for reinstall, or it can be fixed?

looks like I'm gonna need to reinstall FC2. do I need to deactivate it in order to do so, or can I just uninstall it and then make fresh installation without using one of my activations?

Reinstalls on the same system do not require deactivation/reactivation, as long as the operating system isn't also reinstalled.

here goes big thnx to Renato71 also, his flyswatter for this bug is to simply erase FC2\BlackShark\data\scripts\Logbook\Players.lua file, and restart game. works like a charm.
