GGTharos Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 They would most likely not. AMRAAM might be capable since it can directly hit cruise missiles which are about twice the width of itself if you have the correct fuzing selected, but the AAM is a smaller and much faster target still so hard to tell. The reason this happens in FC is due to some simplifications of the fuze. It isn't easy to make it more complex. mig29 Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 R-77 test: R-77 can pull 30 Gs and it's insanely maneuverable (may be it will even take a U-turn to intercept its target :D). Yesterday I was flying mig-29s at a height of 8000m. Then I fired one R-77 on incoming F-15 (AI set to excellent) as soon as I got LA. To my surprise, it was a successful hit:). One missile, one kill. Tough I also died from the AIM-120C that the F-15 shot at me but that's my fault as I didn't take any kind of evasive action.:P
