Hi:

I purchased a 7" for use with my PC (flightsim setup): 7" inch VGA TFT LCD Touch Screen Monitor - eBay (item 170506566928 end time Aug-27-10 21:07:33 PDT).

Problem is, every now and then, the display turns on on its own, then turns off maybe ten seconds later.

Is there any way to stop this (I've tried all diff pc power configurations, and USB wake events)?

If not, would you say I am hurting the display less by letting it turn on (frequency is maybe 3-4 times an hour) or by unplugging and re-plugging the power as needed (guess harm there is wearing out the socket, as well as inconvenience.)

Doesn't the monitor have on/off button, use that to turn it on and off when you don't use it.

D'uh-let me try that. I've been just shutting down and letting the lcd screen turn off on its own, which keeps the other one off. I'll try hitting the power button and seeing if that stops that monitor form 'waking' on its own.

Thanks. Also your craftsmanship inspired me to take the plunge!
