Most of the aircraft I love to fly have center stick setups, which isn't ideal for flying from a desktop. I'm working on getting things sorted here to immerse myself more, and get myself set up with a center stick, but the problem is, I sit too far back in my chair. I'm not the biggest guy you'll ever meet, about 5'9" (175 cm), and so in order to have any back support - I'd have to lean forward a bit to have a center stick.

So how do some of you guys have yours set up with your chair? I don't exactly want to totally get rid of my office chair. It's perfect for PC simmers who need ergonomic designs. I was thinking of having an attachment under the seat, but that'd force me to (get a leg over), every time I got up. However I wouldn't want it to be permanent either, so I could still fly in F4.

Wait for the TM Warthog. It has a small base attached to a metal plate. If you use it on your desk, the metal plate will probably be the best choice. If you plan to build a cockpit or at least a seat with center stick, you can remove the plate and attach the smaller case to the seat as in this picture:
