SAM77 Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Yo guys I got X 52 pro and cannot map the launch missile to my controller. In the options the box to map it is unselectable. I can click on the mouse and the keyboard boxes to map them but for the X52 box it doesnt allow me to do anything. Do i have to create a profile using my saitek software. Is this a bug?? Have I done something wrong??? So far with Mig29s everthing is fantastic. I dont have to create a profile using saitek software. shu77 Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 I found with Windows 7 and the latest SST software that it wasnt getting the different between RIGHT and LEFT ALT and CTRL as a result some stuff that should work didnt like missile fire. Some I could fix by changing the key sequence in the SST software and other functions I ended up remapping to stuff like the arrow keys or n,m etc so that I could set it to be a one button sequence in SST. This fixed the problems I was having. not sure if its a bug in the current version or in FC2, but it wasn't worth spending a whole bunch of time on for me when I had a bunch of unused keys Hornet, Super Carrier, Warthog & (II), Mustang, Spitfire, Albatross, Sabre, Combined Arms, FC3, Nevada, Gulf, Normandy, Syria AH-6J i9 10900K @ 5.0GHz, Gigabyte Z490 Vision G, Cooler Master ML120L, Gigabyte RTX3080 OC Gaming 10Gb, 64GB RAM, Reverb G2 @ 2480x2428, TM Warthog, Saitek pedals & throttle, DIY collective, TrackIR4, Cougar MFDs, vx3276-2k Combat Wombat's Airfield & Enroute Maps and Planning Tools

I'm on Win7 x64, driver version 6.0.4.1, software version 9.9.9.9 (that's what it said atleast) Try reinstalling SST, because I certainly don't have that problem. My SST distinguishes between left and right strg/shift buttons. @Sam77 Mind uploading a screenshot of your key config screen? Edited August 22, 2010 by Mugenjin
shu77 Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Yeah latest version of the software, it affects things like the radar altitude slewing and the scan zone from wide to narrow as well. To be honest it wasn't enough of an issue to spend huge chunks of time on, given how little time I get to fly anyway, so I figured I would try again with the next version, I thought there was a chance it was what SAM might be seeing though, as it presents in game as the button not doing what you'd expect and the only way to catch it is to drop into the config screen and press the button and make sure it highlights what you think it should. shu77 Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Ah ok, if you have a profile loaded for the X-52 that when you press the button you want (say button 2) it should correspond to RALT+Space, if not you may be in the wrong mode, or the profile may not have it defined, are you using a profile or trying to map directly? SAM77 Posted August 23, 2010 Author Posted August 23, 2010 I never use saitek software so there is no profile loaded at all. Trying to map directly within the program I dont have to use the saitek software for the mig 29s. I have everything mapped directly with Mig 29s. Would like to do the same with the eagle. I cannot select the box for the release weapon under the x52 column. AS you can see from pic the mouse box is selected. I cannot do that with the X52 box It will not allow me the selection. It is blank..... I can select keyboard and i can select the mouse to remap them but it will not allow it for the X52 Spoiler Intel i7 14700F | 64GB G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB | MSI RTX 4060 Gaming X 8G | WD Black SN770 2TB | Sound Blaster Audigy RX | MSI B760 Tomahawk WIFI | Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS Flight Pack | TrackIR 5 | Windows 11 Home |
