I have a thrustmaster t flight stick x and i cant seem to get my stick to work properly.

I am trying to map the buttons and throttle control and nothing happens is there a file for this stick i could get for this game that would set everything up for me.

I am really stuck as to what to do I am getting some control but i cant fly properly and i am very frustrated. I thought that the stick would come up in the controls menu select that and that is all you have to do. I am only a novice at this need help please.

If you look under options/controls you should be able to map the buttons and tune the different axis'.

Also plug in the stick before you start the game.

When you run the game, go to Options, Controls, what columns do you have?

 

You should see "Action" on the left, next to that "Keyboard", and then next to that one or more columns depending on available devices, including "Mouse".

 

To assign a command, you need to double-click in the table cell that corresponds to the action you want to assign, in the column for the device you want to assign it to. (Or you can click it once to select it, and press the ADD button at the bottom.)

 

If you've selected something in the correct column for your controller, you should just need to press the button you want to use, and it will show it in the "Key / Button" field. Then you press OK to accept it.

 

Two things to note: each aircraft has its own controls, so make sure you select whatever plane you're intending to fly from the Aircraft drop-down list before you start; and if you want to assign something to an analog axis rather than to a button, you need to select the "Axis commands" category.
