honza Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 I would like to translate texts from training missions to the Czech. Is there any way to display (extract) the texts and replace them with other
ED Team USSR_Rik Posted October 7, 2010 ED Team Posted October 7, 2010 Yes. Mission - it's just zipped file. Open it using WinZip, WinRAR or similar software, you will see several files (and folders) inside. Open file <mission> in any text editor (we suggest Notepad++), and you can see and edit all triggers, units, texts etc. After editing re-pack mission file back and enjoy :) Men may keep a sort of level of good, but no man has ever been able to keep on one level of evil. ED Team USSR_Rik Posted October 7, 2010 ED Team Posted October 7, 2010 Any mission or track file is a ZIP-file. Just change extention from .miz (.trk) to .zip Men may keep a sort of level of good, but no man has ever been able to keep on one level of evil. That road goes down and down. Bucic Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Any mission or track file is a ZIP-file. Just change extention from .miz (.trk) to .zip Or even don't :) I've already assigned my 7-zip to automatically open trk files when doubleclicked. ED Team USSR_Rik Posted October 7, 2010 ED Team Posted October 7, 2010 .. or don't. I make it without external archiver - right from Total Commander. My colleague prefers Norton Commander. Muse Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 (edited) for translate you can use Mizedit. We use this on the DCS French Trad Team ;) http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/453/ Thanks to Berkoutskaia for this soft  , our mentor in the Team :flowers::captain: @++ Edited June 8, 2011 by Muse courage and dedication [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://www.checksix-fr.com/ [FC2] packs de Francisation

Muse Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 For translate that text you need to use the GNU gettext (internationalization and localization library) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNU_gettext you can find the files in : DCS A-10C\l10n\en\LC_MESSAGES good luck ;) courage and dedication [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://www.checksix-fr.com/ [FC2] packs de Francisation
mladen Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Guys, :) Did any of you successfully extract training missions text from the latest 1.0.9 version using Mizedit? I have tried but I get no training text in the "Triggers"window. However I have no problems if I open .miz training files from older versions. Since some of the the training missions have changed in the latest version (1.0.9) I would like to use them for text extraction. berkoutskaia Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Hi mladen ;) There is a new version of MizEdit under testing, to work with 1.0.9 miz files. You can download it here: http://www.7then.net/downloads/MizEdit_v0.33.zip Note however that this version is not fully tested yet, there might be some issues left ;) In Mud I Trust.
