Lex_Cruiser Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Hello all, I have been lurking on the forums in anticipation of A10c for months now, this is not how I was expecting my first post to go. So after a few days of debating whether to jump on board for the beta, I finally shelled out the $60 today. I've got trackir5 overnighted and waiting for me to pick up after class, but I thought I would jump on to see what the game is like. Well F*** me, I can't un-pause the game when doing instant missions and most other modes. This is the US version of the beta (don't know if it matters but a search turned up the same bug is russian version of LO:FC2). I remaped the pause button to P, it worked to unpause the game in one of the mission modes when starting on the runway. Unfortunately I haven't had time to learn to proper start-up sequence yet so I haven't been able to get off the ground. Un-pausing does not work in the other modes when starting a mission. I am using a microsoft bluetooth 6000 keyboard and logitech G940 HOTAS. Help me please, I'm hoping to have a solution when I get back to test trackir5 later. Am I going to have to learn programming to try and sort this out myself? Pretty frustrating, I know it's a BETA but at least I thought I could get past the menu :(
power5 Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Does the pause window go away when you push pause? My rpoblem is I have to push pause twice. First time window goes away but game is still frozen. Press again and I am good. Not all missions are like that though. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Aaron i7 2600k@4.4ghz, GTX1060-6gb, 16gb DDR3, T16000m, Track IR5 BS2-A10C-UH1-FC3-M2000-F18C-A4E-F14B-BF109
Kaiza Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Well if your keyboard is like mine, you have to press "F Lock" first to use the "pause/break" button or else it is configured as "scrlk". Then you have to remember to press "F Lock" again once you have unpaused so you can use the function keys. Also make sure your keyboard configuration has been loaded in the settings. Wow that must be the most frustrating problem in the world, i would tear my hair out. Lex_Cruiser Posted October 8, 2010 Author Posted October 8, 2010 Thanks guys. Pausing twice or multiple times has no effect. I'm away from the computer now so my responses will be limited until later today. My keyboard is not full sized, the right number pad is actually a separate bluetooth keyboard that can be placed on either side, and there is no pause/break key at all. I'm guessing the problem lies with the keyboard, but I'm not sure why changing the command to the P key doesn't work. Will try the function trick when I'm home.
Khadgar Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I found that when I remap keys I have to remap them on both pages of the controls options window. What I mean is when you're on the controls options page in the top left there is a drop down menu, the options are a10 sim and a10 game, I have no idea what they are both for but I changed the options in only one of them and it only affected some of the missions I was flying, so try changing them both to match each other and see if unpausing works then would be my guess.
ED Team USSR_Rik Posted October 8, 2010 ED Team Posted October 8, 2010 Please understand: 'A-10C sim' and 'A-10C game' are two different planes. So, you have to assign controls for each one. Lex_Cruiser Posted October 8, 2010 Author Posted October 8, 2010 Thanks guys, it seems that should answer my question! With a bit more time I probably would have figured it out, but honestly I started to panic! Lol
