blaster454 Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 I am upgrading my system from a C2D 6700 to an i7-750. I'm adding a new GTX470 video card. I would like to be able to drive 3 or 4 separate, independent monitors -- not one large spanned display. But I don't want to go SLI. My question is can I add my old 8800GTS 640 MB card in the 2nd or 3rd PCI-e slot and have Win7 recognize it as a separate display adapter. I want to drive 28-inch 1900 x 1200 and 20" 1600 x 1200 displays from the GTX570 and 17" 1280 x 1024 and 15" 1024 x 760 displays from the 8800GTS. I have tried researching and seem to see two answers: no and yes! :) Does anyone have experience with a multi-monitor nVidia non-SLI install under Win7? Gadroc Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 This will absolutely work as I have run nearly an identical setup.
