Hey, got the game yesterday. Have been playing around with the training missions, yet to even have touched the combat systems training. Only how to start up, take off, and navigation. I find these missions very confusing and was wondering if anybody would be willing to teach me as my flight instructor.

If you are interested that would be great. I have a microphone and teamsepak 3 and ventrillo.

What one would be the best in realism and training? As i am new to the DCS series.

My squad is shooting for realism but it's too soon for anyone to have any kinda organized training syllibus.

Congrats on getting the best sim available! If you've used other sims in the past affectionately referred to as 'study sims', you know that the first stop is the manual. There's been some pretty funny debate about this in other threads. Some say they want to strafe the tower for a few weeks before touching the navigation systems.. well that's cool for them.

I personally find that the manual, once I sit myself down with a cup of coffee and a will to understand, is one of the more enjoyable parts of the sim. I read through the manual, took me a couple of days, then I jumped in the aircraft and started to familiarize what I'd learned. I had to go back a few times and connect the dots, but it came together nicely. Toward the back of the manual is a section that takes you step by step through what you've learned earlier, only while inflight.

They did a great job with this manual. Check it out.

It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm

Yeah were still in the process of getting everything set up. It's way too early to go all-in but were working towards getting the basics set up. But once we do trust me. Were going to have a crap load of material and training available. Our non-official IP's are hard at work drinking, crashing and reading the manual :D.
