FlandersRevenge Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 When we are in the mission editor is it possible to get the ASL of a specific point of ground. I'm aware that its possible to reduce baro of each waypoint to 0, causing it to default to ASL=x = 0AGL however this is quite time consuming. In BS, barometric altitude played a much less important role because most of the action was down low. So, is there a command to find the ASL of a specific point just by clicking on it in order to reference flight paths, etc. Oh and to ED... PLEASE for the love of god allow us a planning map that shows accurate topography preferably with altitude tics, the current one is abysmal if you have to set up stuff anywhere other then the Modok-Mineralnye Vody zone Dell Studio XPS 1650 Intel i7 1.60 ghz 6gb ram 300mb HD ATI Mobility Radeon 4670
Revelation Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 If you move your mouse around the map in the ME, you'll see in the bottom left-side of the window will be your coordinates. Just to the right, you'll see the ground elevation, i.e. height of the ground above sea level(ASL). Win 10 Pro 64Bit | 49" UWHD AOC 5120x1440p | AMD 5900x | 64Gb DDR4 | RX 6900XT
FlandersRevenge Posted November 10, 2010 Author Posted November 10, 2010 :doh:Wow, that was too easy. I actually looked there because I assumed that's where the information would be located, must have missed it:doh: Dell Studio XPS 1650 Intel i7 1.60 ghz 6gb ram 300mb HD ATI Mobility Radeon 4670
kylania Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 I setup a mission the other day and ended up smacking into a mountain at startup could I couldn't really tell that it was a mountain range there. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christmas Cheer - A Landing Practice Mission : Beta Paint Schemes : HOTAS Keyboard Map : Bingo Fuel - A DCS A-10C Movie
