Can' Download Any of the Beta 3 Files?

Hi - I purchased the game and went to download the 4 files. Got the first, but the other three route right back to the 'Buy Now' page. No go.:mad::mad:

 

 

Extremely frustrating after spending $60 to spend another 10 hours downloading the damn files.

 

Ideas anyone? Thanks

try the torrent...I downloaded that earlier today, and have been seeding since - I'm up to around 50 gigs uploaded so far with a 50mbps pipe

I can build better servers out of my extra parts than they seem to have put together with the money they are taking in, not to mention the broken links and looped web pages. Still not decided yet if I cancel my payment today - Have no trust in this group.

I downloaded the beta 3 patch (eventually) in 27 minutes. That's a pretty fast mouse.

If you truly work in the field then you know yea never write a forum response on a knee jerk reaction, bad form all around.

Also you said you downloaded one file, I thought the torrent was one file so why are you downloading the other 3? Did you meant Beta 2 and 3 or the setup file then bin 1-3? If so that is not the torrent.

 

 

Just trying to clarify so let us know, hell it took over 12 hours to down load bins 1-3 on release day but today will download less then 4 hours. Torrent today less then 2. It also could be your isp's problem unfortunately hard to tell just by your discription.

You paid $60 for a game that will be released hopefully by the end of 2010. You're still going to get that (and probably need to deal with slow download speeds then as well). You didn't pay for instant download of a beta version of it. You're not being denied anything.

 

Torrent is only as fast as the seeds can handle. Just because you're on a "Fast" connection (remember Cable is shared connection, on paper it might be 6MBS, but your share of that isn't 100%).

 

Like I said, I downloaded from HTTP1 the other night, 1.8GB in 27 minutes. Their capacity is just fine, they are just busy. I'd suggest calming down, getting a grip and just try again later. The product you paid for will be available in a few months, don't worry.

Texaszman...you have to think, how many others are also pulling down that same file the same time you are? How big a pipe do you think they have? FWIW, Ive got a 50mb up and down! :) Imagine if 100 of us with 50/50 speeds hit that server...I can tell you right now my torrent stats show I've upped almost 82 gigs worth of DCS:A-10, so there is a ton of people downloading that file right this moment. I honestly think its just bad timing, you hit the most wanted file they have at the same moment everyone else did. Give it a week and you would see a huge difference.

BTW, How fast did your torrent download?

You paid $60 to preorder the final product. The beta that you've been given access to is a BONUS, and there are no garauntees regarding its availability or functionality. You can find all of this on the page where you bought the game.

 

However, despite that, most people have been able to download the game without much issue. I downloaded the full beta 1, plus beta 2 and 3 patches, with the torrent over a Comcast connection, and each download took less than an hour or two. So if it's taking too long it might be a problem on your end.

Also with torrent it matters how many seeders there are, so how many is it showing, Unfortunately I have all the files and I do not feel like looking atm, Also it does not matter how big your pipe is if there is not enough seeders to help the download, at which point I would just use the ftp sites, just a suggestion.

If you have a problem thats related to the site & services, please feel free to post - but next time please present your problem in a mature manner.

You've gotten a few explanations why you experience slow downloads by the previous posters, as far as I can see they are correct.

 

Keep in mind - the files you downlaoded was released earlier today - there are no seeders out there.

If the HTTP or FTP options are still not working please let us know and we'll get someone to have a look at them for you.
