I do realise that, but I wanted to get it all sorted, as much as I could whilst I had some time off work. I understand the logic of waiting, and that logic seems sound to me. However, it's too late now, and although my new build could very soon be bettered, I'm sure it'll give me a good few years of very good gaming performance.

Hopefully I can keep the mindset of enjoying what I have, rather than envying what others have.

I have an older OCZ 30Gig SSD SATAII drive that is just sitting around not being used. I originally tried using it on a WinXP install- but had to offload all the cache and pagefiles to a regular HDD because of the s-l-o-w writes of the SSD; it then became a pain to use with backup software and other software installations which don't allow choice of drive path install. Eventually I just removed it altogether.

However, it does have fast read rates- so I figured maybe now would be a time to break it out and use it again. So would this 30G SSD be beneficial to use for the A-10C install drive- while the main Win7 64-bit is on a regular HDD?

Rusty,

Makes total sense. I'm waiting personally (well almost Mobo and memory are ordered already) for Sandybridge.

I just wasn't sure if you knew it was coming and had the ability to hold off a while in case it became useful to do so.
