Problem in F2/F7 view - seems stuck

Anyone else noticed a problem in F7 or F2 view where you can't pan around or zoom in/out. If you try it just shakes and the view remains fixed in direction and distance.

 

Any idea what I'm doing wrong??

For anyone interested, this seemed to be a problem caused by having my peddles connected via my old TM Cougar base. Disable all functions associated with this except rudders and the problem is fixed.
