Ok so I am getting FC2 for my birthday or Christmas Dunno witch yet any way I have a 9 button THotasX Thrustmaster joystick (I think thats what it's called) so to get ready for this i re installed LOMAC and I feel a littel over welmed in theoptions screeni can fly fine but when it comes to setting up the guns rockets switching between them and even locking on I feel lost what bit's do ineed to set up to lock a targit and geta "good kill"?

it is a good sim I know it is just from the flight dynamics is odd beacuse I have set DCS Black shark up fine.

Doogerie, do one thing at a time, and one thing only. When it "sticks" you can move on to the next minor part.

 

As for how to get a "good kill", there is no way to write a simple guide on how to achieve that that is at the same time useful. There's just too many variables. Generally though - don't shoot at Rmax. Don't shoot at Rmax. And when it is tempting to shoot at Rmax, don't do it. :P

 

If you have some more detailed examples of specific things we can help out with it might be a bit easier, though.

Range Maximum. Basically - when your launch authorization lights go on the target is now within launch parameters, but if you shoot immediately he won't have to do very much to defeat the missile. Also, for A2G-missiles, an Rmax shot will also mean that the missile spends more time in flight and will be slower in it's terminal phase, making it easier to shoot down which may or may not be a concern depending on the defenses around your target.
