CAPT Jebus Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 I am having trouble getting TrackIR 4 or 5 to work. I know TrackIR doesn't work with the 64bit version and only in the 32bit one. However the problem is when I load the 32bit one every thing is good the blue light comes on at the main UI screen. when I select and try to fly a mission(any) it gets to the loading screen. the DCS screen (the pic of the A10 with the blue background) hangs for a while then comes up with DCS is not responding and crashes back to the mission end screen. system specs: Computer Type: PC Operating System: Windows 7 64bit Motherboard: GA-EX58-UD5 Motherboard Processor: INTEL I7 Processor Speed: 2Ghz System Memory: 6Gb RAM DDR3 Corsair matched Hard Drive: 2 X WD Caviar blue 320gb in RAID 0 total 640Gb Graphics Card: 2x Nvidia BFG 8800 Ultra OC edition in SLI
copen Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Curious: if you disable TrackIR, does the problem loading the game engine go away? CAPT Jebus Posted November 29, 2010 Author Posted November 29, 2010 I still get the same problem even with trackIr unplugged I can not seem to get the 32bit version to work
ilikepie Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 I dont think its a track ir issue. have you tried loading different missions or are you trying to load the same one over and over. i have issues with missions loading and get the same problem as you, crashing at the compiling stage, but i find some missions load cleanly and have no probs at all. see if you can get any missions to load as it maybe certain ones that are bottoming out. i have found free flight single missions seem to work well but the training one hang at compiling stage. have a look at the beta forum Crash thread. maybe something useful in there for you Action After Contemplation
copen Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Even if the trackIR is unplugged, the driver may still be loaded. Try exiting the TrackIR application. That will unload the driver. I'm assuming that you can run the 64-bit DCS A-10C binary just fine. Is that right? What blue light are you referring to in your initial post? My TrackIR 5 has two green LEDs. The left one comes on when the TrackIR app loads, and it can see my TrackClip. The right one comes on when a game loads. Also, you may want to try disabling SLI. Raz_Specter Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 have you played any missions so far as I has the same issue you just have to leave it for a while as it has to build some sort of cache first time its run.
