DocSigma Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 I'm trying to map the wheelbrakes to the paddle of the warthog on the stick. I'm not running any custom map through trarget. I've been just trying to set it in the axis assign box in game and it won't autodeect the axis and I don't know the axis of the paddle on the stick to assign it manually. Thanks for any help Ryzen9 5800X3D, Gigabyte Aorus X570 Elite, 32Gb Gskill Trident DDR4 3600 CL16, Samsung 990 Pr0 1Tb Nvme Gen4, Evo860 1Tb 2.5 SSD and Team 1Tb 2.5 SSD, MSI Suprim X RTX4090 , Corsair h115i Platinum AIO, NZXT H710i case, Seasonic Focus 850W psu, Gigabyte Aorus AD27QHD Gsync 1ms IPS 2k monitor 144Mhz, Track ir4, VKB Gunfighter Ultimate w/extension, Virpil T50 CM3 Throttle, Saitek terrible pedals, RiftS
KillaALF Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 I don't think the paddle is an axis on the WH (it isn't on my Cougar), so you have to assign it as a button, it's called "Wheelbrakes on/off" in the control setup.
Yskonyn Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 The paddle pushes a button via a mechanical link. Its not an axis. I would not assign the brakes to it cause it will not be progressive, just on or off. Nickhawk Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 (edited) the paddle isnt an axis, but you can map the W key on it for the wheel brakes. as long as you hold the paddle your Warthog will brake. works good for taxiing, for braking after a landing its a bit difficult because if you hold it to long your hydraulic press will drop with engines on idle. but for me the most times the runways are long enough to come to a stop with airbrakes only, so the wheel brake is for me only at taxiing. Yskonyn Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Thats because the w key toggles the brakes when keeping pressed down. its either 100% or 0% whereas an axis can provide progressive braking. If you can assign te brakes to an axis. You'll have much more control that way. In real life it can be rather disastrous to slam on the brakes. ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Asus Z390-E, 32GB Crucial Ballistix 2400Mhz, Intel i7 9700K 5.0Ghz, Asus GTX1080 8GB, SoundBlaster AE-5, G15, Streamdeck, DSD Flight, TM Warthog, VirPil BRD, MFG Crosswind CAM5, TrackIR 5, KW-908 Jetseat, Win 10 64-bit ”Pilots do not get paid for what they do daily, but they get paid for what they are capable of doing.
