Blue screen on boot up. Before I ring the the company that built my PC I wondered if anyone knows whats going on here.

When booting from cold after being left off a few hours or overnight I get a bluescreen just after the first windows load screen and it says it shut down to prevent damage. If I restart it runs fine after that. I mean it stable all day and runs everything I want it too without any problems. I can restart the PC as many times as I want, I only get the blue screen when the power has been off for 2+ hours.

Really not sure whats going on but I will give cyberpower a call and see what they say. Does it sound like an issue with the powersupply?

This could be your problem.

I had this exact problem as well, I switched to a high-brand one problem fixed.

Dont ever save on a cheap psu!

However, before you start buying a expensive PSU, I would suggest having a look in the bios to see the temperatures of several components. If they are hot even then, something is wrong.

well when i say unbranded its "Buyxg" writen on the side but ive not been able to find out much about the company. Will google some more when i get a free moment =) Anyway I cant see anything overheating or overvolt. CPU runs at 53c max with Prime95 test.

Problem was with my mainboard after all. I did not expect to get a bad board from Gigabyte but these things happen I suppose. Turns out the BIOS was not behaving properly. Its having some repairs made as its under Warrenty. It (the Bios) would lock up at random while I was following thier instructions over the phone trying to get to the bottom of the windows crashing to blue screen.
