Wildman21265 Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Hi, I had A-10c Beta 3 installed and spent alot of time setting up my Logitech G940 HOTAS commands. I downloaded Beta 4 and had a error after the update so I uninstalled A10C and then downloaded and installed the full Beta 4 successfully, but realized afterwards that I lost all my controller settings. I have a copy of my old Beta 3 installation folders (my controllers settings should be in there somewhere). Is there a way to copy my controller setting from the old folders over to my new Beta 4 installation? If so, can you tell me the location and filename/s? Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!

IF they got saved, they should be in the default location. just launch the sim, go to options, and then on the top right click load controller profile or whatever it is and it should show up there When I did a full uninstall though, i lost my custom profile. Now whenever i uninstall i save a copy of my profile in a safe spot. Im pretty sure yours is gone for good so better start making a new one lol. Pacoche Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 I have the same problem here. I usually fly the Sim with my Hotas Cougar and no problem. I borrowed the Hotas Warhog from my brother for Xmas and I installed the HW sofware and drivers on Beta3, ran the Sim, and no problem, just awesome, everything was alright, axis, keys, bouttons... So Beta4 came out, I installed and OMG!!! caos, same pitch and roll axis assingments for both throttle and joy, none of the buttons, TMS boat swictch or anything was as it was in Beta3. Unfortunately I didn't save the config and assingmets of HW in Beta3. I thing the best way to make HW to work is totally uninstalling sim and updates. Keep the Hotas in Windosw7. Install A-10, and uptdates up to nr. 3, keep the config of HW, install Beta4, overwrite config and assingmetns file... What do you reckon?
Wildman21265 Posted December 31, 2010 Author Posted December 31, 2010 Thanks for the quick responses. I believe I found the .lua files I needed from the old beta 3 intall folders I had a copy of. I poked around the folders under C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C Beta\Config\Input\Aircrafts\A-10C and copied any .lua files from the beta three folders that were not in the new beta 4 folders and pasted them to the beta 4 locations and seem to have 99% of my settings back. Only had to tweek a couple buttons instead of rebuilding them all from scratch. This time I plan to make a profile copy as a backup from the options menus. Thanks again!
