I want to make a mission where your task is to disable a runway or taxiways ( so, let's say, a top secret aircraft couldn't take off and would be open to capture by allied forces ). But I can't find a way to make the airport runways a triggerable object... yes.. I could put an airplane on the runway that you have to destroy.. but that just seems cheap....

ideas?

Yeah, only user-placed objects are counted in mission scores. I was disappointed to find that you can't make bridges tactical objectives. However, look at the trigger-actions 3-column interface in the ME; I haven't used this objective in a mission yet but I recall there's one for "ownership" of airfields and helipads, so you might want to combine your disable objective with a follow-on infantry assault and hold.

I wonder if that is a simple fix for DCS to change? It would sure add a whole new dimension to the missions you could make.

I was just thinking, the Instant Action missions have a bridge that needs to be destroyed, and the game registers it as a completed task.

Isn't the bridge a non user placed object? Or since they place 2 infantry there on the bridge, does the death of the infantry trigger the task complete?
