Happy New 2011 flight enthusiasts, my wonderful wife bought me a new flight simulator for Christmas that I had requested. Brother am I sorry about that. I read a ton of reviews and e-mailed this company and got sold a bill of goods, wrong goods.

I have a new i7 with 12 gigs of ram and so on. It’s a top of the line PC and runs all my program without any problems. I was looking for something better then MSFX. I was lead to believe Flight Pro was it. I bought the whole package with all the scenery disks. The interior of the cockpit looks cheap like half finished. The 3D command does not work. Looking out side at the ground graphics looks like someone let a child lose with a crayon. Trying to set up the joystick and foot pedals is a nightmare. The best news is because we bought it and didn’t down load it, I can’t get a refund. After e-mailing the company a few times all I got back was, “We’re sorry your disappointed with or product.” Even printing out the PDFs files is too small to read and are incorrect on more then one of the commands. The company also said, “That there product was a work in progress.” No joke! So once again I find myself the beta tester.

Ive seen threads about Flight Pro Sim popping up at different aviations forums rather frequently lately, have they recently started some form of aggressive marketing or something?

 

Flight Pro Sim is actually an open source project called Flight Gear, that is free to download, but it has been re-packaged and renamed by someone else (and by that I mean, someone other than the people who made it) and is now being sold as Flight Pro Sim. You can read more about that here

if you paid with CC go to your CC company straight away and request your money back. tell them the goods were not as ordered and you are having trouble getting any answer from the vendor. GOOD LUCK..

Well reading that wikipedia article this looks like a complete fraud.

 

Kind of weird that this company isnt sued by someone for false marketing.

I did about ten minutes of research on "Pro Flight Sim" a couple of months back. It was an easy scam to spot. I'm sorry your wife fell victim, Wad. I imagine that wives and gf's are the actual target of these scams.
