bradleyjs Posted January 2, 2011 Author Posted January 2, 2011 >>For me at least tracks are broken as in they hardly ever play back as happend in flight. I just tried it and you're correct -- the Track played-out much differently .. it must be the sim engine being corrupt by the time-skip somehow... Tone71 Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 It's very unlikely that tracks from one beta version will replay properly in another. However, I've had no problem with tracks saved and then viewed using the same build. Windows 10 Home, Intel Core i7-9700K @ 4.6GHz, Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming (8GB VRAM) on 34" LG curved monitor @ 3440x1440, 32GB RAM, TrackIR 3 (with Vector Expansion), Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Combat Pedals, Thrustmaster Cougar MFDs.
bradleyjs Posted January 2, 2011 Author Posted January 2, 2011 I'm Beta 4 and just recorded it yesterday - so, it seems to be an issue with Time Skip -- but no problem, I can deal with it .... maybe will be addressed in a later release. Never tried to Time-Skip in FC/2 or BS - so it "could" be a WIP ... not an issue for me otherwise. Dethmagnetic Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 LFT CNTRL+Z and LFT SHFT+Z to return to normal speed. For me at least tracks are broken as in they hardly ever play back as happend in flight. Really? I have been doing a lot of track playback over the last couple of days, and it always works fine for me, even when I have time acceleration set really high. nomdeplume Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Some tracks just don't play back the same events as happened in flight. I had this recently with a fairly long track I watched back - during my first encounter with a SAM in my actual flight, I turned and evaded it without issue, then proceeded to spend a good 10 minutes engaging. In the playback, on that first past I overflew the site and got shot down. Bit annoying, but it's a been an issue forever - sometimes it just doesn't record or playback the control data correctly. I do find accelerating time often exacerbates the issue, but the above was played back at normal speed specifically, so it can occur either way.
aceflier Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Watch this one it never plays back the same way twice. All done in beta 4. Sometimes Aim9 is fired at thin air.1killAtoA2.trk [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Zomba Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I got this issue yesterday. Did a multiplayer SEAD mission with a friend throwing rocks at SA-15s and SA-06s. I was overwatching and feeding datalinks to him and he would come barreling in over a hill to break things. At the end I formed up on him and we RTBed. Did a nice little formation landing and thought it would be good to record the track the next day and put it on youtube. Playing back the track, instead of me landing left of centerline on his port quarter, I instead landing on his starboard quarter off the runway and proceeded to hit a piece of airfield equipment and come to a firey death. The track is consistently the same when replayed. I also noticed that during the mission the tgp sometimes wasn't pointing correctly at targets in the track. I don't test for bugs, but when I do I do it in production.
