I created a fast mission with the relatibe tool, imposing max number of object of each category (planes, heli and so on...).

I noticed that the frame rate decrease drammatically.

I dont think is a problem of video card, instead i think it is a unoptimized code (i have beta4), because the simulator must manage the behavior of any single object (plan helicopter, naval etc) with a own mission, waypoint etc...

A question to developers: do you believe that with final version you can fix this problem definitively?

If you want create a dynamic campaign in the future it must be manage a large number of objects. I believe thus that dynamic campaign is a key of definitive success of dcs simulators; without it it is an uncomplete simulator.

Dynamic campaign plus a future release of a fighter (f16?) make dcs a very good candidate to substitute falcon 4 (ff5, of, redviper and af).

Best regards

Optimisations are ongoing, however, you have to realize that lot's of units will always put enormous strain on any system, that is why falcon 4 uses a bubble. There there are no optimisations that can cure that.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

Most of the game is run in a single thread, which effectively limits it to being processed by a single CPU core. Longer term I'm sure their plan is to distribute the load better in order to take full advantage of the power of modern PCs, and some work has already been done in that regard (e.g. most of the work the audio engine does is in a separate thread).

That's a long way off, but you mentioned dynamic campaign which is also a long way off, so ... :)

I don't think you'll see significant improvements with the final release of A-10C, though. Probably some incremental improvements, but nothing earth-shattering that will allow you to comfortably run missions with a fully populated region.

Dynamic campaign is far, but from my point of view, it must a "waypoint" to hit in the near future: a lot of people will migrate from f4 to dcs;

I believe it is a must for ED.

(Sorry for my poor english).
