RIFLE_JTAC_TRAINING Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Fellas, I am leaving the comfort of home for a while and can't bring my computer. Do you think this laptop should be able to provide decent power for DCS-A-10C??? http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=WzU7IKA6SWdBvaRd thanks for the help. genbrien Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I think there should be no problem :) Do you think that getting 9 women pregnant will get you a baby in 1 month?[sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Mobo: Asus P8P67 deluxe Monitor: Lg 22'' 1920*1080 CPU: i7 2600k@ 4.8Ghz +Zalman CNPS9900 max Keyboard: Logitech G15 GPU:GTX 980 Strix Mouse: Sidewinder X8 PSU: Corsair TX750w Gaming Devices: Saytek X52, TrackIr5 RAM: Mushkin 2x4gb ddr3 9-9-9-24 @1600mhz Case: 690 SSD: Intel X25m 80gb
chokko Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 i got the JH model (i7-920 [1.6->2.8Ghz, ati5xxx mobility hd]) and it runs the game (same with FlamingCliffs2), but not well. i only use it as a server for hosting MP games, as it looks choppy even with no AA on. The 3.33ghz option should perform a bit better. Might be an idea to find a shop with a demo model, and try the game in store first. Plays graphics orientated games fine (bfbc2/rts games) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
RIFLE_JTAC_TRAINING Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 Is it choppy at high res or even on low settings? chokko Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 at 1080p it was, then when i started running it as a server i was running it at lower res in windowed mode (so i had screen real estate for other stuff) and it was running pretty slow too. the hard disks in mine are slow...the texture load stuttering at mission start/changing between views is painful. they might have faster HDDs in them now or you could put in an ssd [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
