REL Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 (edited) Manual Page 645: Once the airfield ATC is selected, you can either send them an "Inbound" message to indicate that you intend to land there, or an "I'm lost" message that will result in the ATC providing you guidance to reach the airfield. When you select "Inbound", the ATC will respond with the following information: -Heading to fly to reach landing initial point. -Range to landing initial point. -The QFE, or atmospheric pressure at the airfield elevation. -Which runway to land on. How do you know you have reached that initial point provided by the ATC? Any Avionics manipulation technique will be highly appreciated. I 'm trying to find and practice different techniques and eventually adopt the best one. Edited January 26, 2011 by REL 1
EvilBivol-1 Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 There is no direct method, but the easiest might be to hook your current position on the TAD. Similarly, you can move the TAD cursor from your current position to the bearing and range given by ATC, create a mark point at that location. Finally, if you try the landing training mission, you will notice the simple technique of using the CDI indication on the HSI. - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. That is what I usually do, but I was looking for more accurate method because It takes time to set it up.
