Mik75 Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 (edited) Hi again! Why didn't anybody tell me that this simulation is highly addictive? ;-) I just can't stop learning and flying. I created my first mission with a wingman and when I tried to save it, I received an repeating error message. I could fly the mission, but the weather settings weren't correct and after re-starting the sim, the mission was gone. I placed 4 tanks, a SAM and 2 transport vehicles, so nothing special. Did I something wrong or may that be a known issue? Edited February 19, 2011 by Mik75 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Greets, Michael
nomdeplume Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Too vague to really tell... what was the error message? The sim component loads the mission from disk so I don't really see how it'd be possible for the mission to be 'gone'. It may be saved in an unexpected location, perhaps? If you're on Vista/7 and installed to the default location (Program Files) then the OS is probably redirecting writes from the game folders into your user directory, which will cause all kinds of odd things to happen.
Mik75 Posted February 19, 2011 Author Posted February 19, 2011 (edited) Hmm, it wasn't a single message. It were two big windows filled with lines. They popped up several times and were accompanied by this typical Windows error sound. The thing is that I was already able to save three different missions, but the last one messed things up and I don't know why... I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit. Mik75 Posted February 19, 2011 Author Posted February 19, 2011 don't worry, it's happening from time to time. Guys from ED have to clean that editor code, but generally, it's usable, so just try to make mission again and figure out what triggers that error message, and do not do that anymore :) Ok! Will give it another try tonight! Thank you [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Greets, Michael
