Bvoiash Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Hey guys, does any of you know how exactly do the MiG-29, Su-27 and Su-33 radars range scale affect what is displayed on those aircrafts' HUD? Because as shown in the pictures attached the target's position on the HUD changed when I changed the range scale from 50 to 100. Bvoiash
GGTharos Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Uhm ... your target is at 40km in both screenshots ... not sure how else to answer your question. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Bvoiash Posted February 22, 2011 Author Posted February 22, 2011 Oh...I thought the HUD of those aircrafts don't display the target from a look down perspective. Sorry about that as I almost never fly any of those planes in Flaming Cliffs 2.

FLANKERATOR Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Stay on the 64 scale all the time and get used to it for your SA when flying the MiG, 128 scale is almost useless as the MiG radar wont be able to detect reduced RCS's beyond 64. Bvoiash Posted February 22, 2011 Author Posted February 22, 2011 (edited) Thanks guys :). I know that the scan zone azimuth and elevation sizes are 60 degrees and 10 degrees respectively from reading other threads. But all these times I didn't think that the HUD of those aircrafts display targets, if any, from a look down perspective. Edited February 23, 2011 by Bvoiash
