However I have been coming to these forums since FC (I barely post though), and I must admit it is very difficult to find what I am looking for in the current structure, ie files, tracks etc. I mean, there are a lot of very good things being shared by the users here in terms of files (documentation, missions, skins, training documents and vids, etc.) that are either very interesting or very useful for new users/players. However, good luck finding them! Unless you are really looking for something specific (which very often these are the kind of things that you never think of looking for, you just see them ad go: cool! I could use that), you will never see them unless you check every single posts every day, or go through everything. There should be a sub-sections for such things (missions and tracks, files and utilities, training material), which would be soooooo useful. I mean, imagine the new user that comes here, just started playing flight sims (which is what we want, right? more new simmers to keep ED alive so they can provide us with more awesomeness), and he needs to either make new posts (we all know that most people are lazy and don<t do that) to request for something they need, providing they know that they need it, or search the entire forum (see previous laziness comment) or go through everything (see previous laziness comment, and read it again and again). I just think it would make things so much easier, user-friendly and ergonomical, and everyone would benefit from it (how many great files/vids/missions are buried in the middle of 10 pages threads throughout the forum). Just to give an example, the OF forum (just talking about their forum, not the sim, so no comparing the 2 :P). When you go there, you know exactly where to look and within seconds you find a lot of useful user content. Just my 2 cents :)
