Mule Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 I don't know if this will help but here goes. A lot of ppl seem to have a problem with finding targets using JTAC. Just a point to note. When JTAC gives you direction for a moving column or any other kind of moving target remember the target location given was given "at that moment in time" that colum is still moving and as such will be in a different place by the time you get eyes/tgt/ on etc. It is so hard to give target indication even in the best of conditions. Don't think of JTAC as the "Gods eye view of the battlefield" far from it. JTAC is just a tool that will help you get focused and looking in the right direction it is not a precision tool. It is up to you as a good pilot to take that info and use all the tools in your disposal to get an accurate target I.D. However sometimes JTAC will give you a quality target indication especially when it's a static target. Good hunting! Fighter Pilot Podcast.
