gear_monkey Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 After installing and setting up I noticed a few things....I tried to take screenshots but didn't work... The first is the PAPI/VASI lights glow like a huge fire from miles away when flying...only on short final do they calm down to "normal" brightness. The second I noticed is when I fire rockets they dissapear into the ground instead of showing an explosion effect. Any ideas would be great. Everything else looks great. gear_monkey Posted March 12, 2011 Author Posted March 12, 2011 Check that the rockets are not the training rockets. Nate yeah, I think you're right about the rockets....I actually saw the hole they left behind... Still can't figure out the VASI glow issue. holken Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 I know this is an old thread, but I have just installed the sim and I also have the VASI glow issue (in v1.1.1.1). They glow really bright *white* (no matter your altitude) from very far, making them practically useless as guidance. When I get closer, I can see that at least one light is red, but it's obscured by the intense shine from the white lights. I recognize the glow phenomenon from other games, it was lacking or at least much weaker in a previous version of the Nvidia driver. I was curious if anyone had figured out how to reduce this. Maybe it could be a setting in the Nvidia control panel? Didn't find anything obvious there, though. Any advice would be appreciated. Best regards, Holken
