Hi Frederic!

Are you still developing the app? I've been testing it on my old android phone and your app certainly has potential. However the checklists are really cumbersome and I'd really like some customization options. I'm considering a tablet and I'm not sure if I'll get Ipad (overpriced) or some cheaper yet a good android tablet. DCS Manager would be a major selling point for android tablet.

The map part in your app is great and easy to use but the checklists are really hard to use and contain some very unnecessary things. For example pressing back button every time you want to progress in the start up is very counter intuitive. They should be in a continuous list with quick shortcuts from menu button or something like that. Plus, who the hell has time pressing the check boxes while having an engine failure in a hover? Such lists should be brief and straight to the point and the check boxes are unnecessary. If I could decide, I would rewrite all checklists myself. It would be great if it was so easy as to write a simple text document with some specific format which the program can translate into a checklist.

Moving between the maps and checklists should be done via for example screen swipe gesture or menu button.

A neat thing would also be automatic scroll of a checklist after you press a check box so that the next item would be always in the middle of the screen.

And many more customization options would be very desirable like measurement unit options.

I would even be glad to buy (donate) such a great and easy app for 20-30 €. That's quite many beers. :)

Hi griffin,

Thank you for your feedback, and sorry for the delay ^^.

For the easy thing, the problems with checklists, you can write your own checklists, there's no problem, you can add any checklist you wan for all aircraft you want.

All you have to do is to check your external storage. From there you will find a directory called DCSManager, with a directory checklists inside.

All the checklists are in XML format, I think it was the easy format to understand. The main XML is main.xml, from there you can start a new set of checklist for a new aircraft for example (at the end of the XML there's a little template).

After that, all set of checklist starts from the main.xml again. Just look at one of the checklists available, and if you don't understand, I will be pleased to help you write one.

After writing your new checklists you will be able to share it with the community if you want to ;-)

Now, about the development of the software, I have to tell you that I have lost the file used for signing the app, so I can't work more on this version, very sorry...

But, there's always a but ;-), I have started some tests on a totally new app, a new app that could work as it should work on phone or tablet, with a different layout.

As I am not a pro in Java and Android developement it could take a while, and of course the familly comes in first place, and then work, and then sim, and then, that ^^

Be sure I have read all the good things you wrote.
